Designed by two Canadian Moms with style in mind.
Fortunate to spend their first maternity leave together, the founders of Monkeywear® spent many days together with their girls. Not knowing exactly what they wanted or needed in a baby carrier at the time, they simply used the ones they were given, not realizing what they were missing.
By the time their second babies arrived, they began borrowing different types of hand-crafted carriers and even purchasing and returning more than one soft structured carrier.
They soon knew what they wanted and needed but couldn't find it.
Taking the best features of the many carriers they had tried into consideration and adding new ideas and a fresh design, they applied them to the basic wrap carrier that has been used for centuries around the world......and Monkeywrap® was created.
Interest grew as people saw them wrapping and wearing their babies and toddlers. Monkeywear® set out to develop their custom blended fabric and began offering the Monkeywrap® to other Canadian parents in early 2007.
As parents and environmentally conscious Canadians, Monkeywear® is dedicated to operating the business with a completely Canadian supply chain while following as many green and environmentally-friendly business practices as possible.
The development of a Canadian made Bamboo & Organic Cotton fabric was important to the founders. Bamboo Monkeywrap® have been available since 2010.
Our online customers now have the option to save money if they opt to not have the retail packaging included with their order.
